Brian Passmore

Brian grew up in Mississauga, Ontario playing his minor hockey In the Greater Toronto Hockey League winning 7 consecutive city championships and 2 all Ontario championships. In 7 seasons spent in minor hockey Brian played with 3 top caliber AAA teams before leaping over Midget to play JR.A with the North York Rangers of the Metro Junior Hockey League.

Brian was selected in the 5th round of the OHL major junior draft and spent 4 successful seasons in the OHL with the Plymouth Whalers, Oshawa Generals and Guelph Storm. His success gained him an invite to the Edmonton Oilers training camp; the following season Brian was selected in the NHL entry draft as a 19 year old by the Minnesota Wild
in the 7th round. He attended the Minnesota Wild inaugural training camp in 2000 and 2001. Brian then attended the University of P.E.I.

In 2003, Brian turned pro and entered the ECHL. For the next 7 years Brian spent 5 years playing with Cincinnati, Greenville, Texas, Fresno, Augusta and eventually Oklahoma City. Including 2 years in Europe, Passmore totalled over 400 pro games. Brian moved to Victoria, BC in 2009, over the 2010-2012 seasons he was the Head Coach for the
Saanich Braves Minor Hockey Association Bantam and Midget teams. Passmore was the Head Coach and GM of the Peninsula Panthers Jr.B team in 2013 & 2014. Passmore led his club to the VIJHL League Finals in 2014 and was awarded VIJHL Coach of the Year. Currently, Passmore is the Head Coach of the Westshore Wolves Jr.B team in the VIJHL. Brian has been teaching hockey at camps and clinics for over 16 years in Toronto and the past few years in Victoria, BC.

Brian has always had a passion and respect for the game of hockey. Brian has a high interest in player development and runs various camps, clinics and spring teams throughout the year on Vancouver Island for players ranging from Novice to Junior with ‘Passmore Hockey’. Brian resides in Victoria, BC with his wife Alicia.
